Laura has over 10 years of social work experience that she has gleaned in working as a school counsellor, drug and alcohol counsellor and an accredited mental health social worker in private psychology clinics.

Laura is passionate about walking alongside individuals in their healing journey, acknowledging that each person is unique and requires personalised support according to their needs and what they are facing in life. Laura works from a strengths-based, person-centred approach, and provides a non-judgmental space where each person feels safe, heard, and supported.

Laura predominantly works with youth (12+) adults who are experiencing the following areas of concern: drug and alcohol, relationship conflict, self-esteem, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, anger, suicide and self-harm, issues in the workplace including recovery from injury, return-to-work and developing work-life balance.

The main therapies that underpin Laura’s practice include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Supportive Counselling, Motivational Interviewing and Psychological Education.
