Private Sessions

Acacia Psychology offers counselling for individuals on a private session basis. These sessions can accommodate clients who are not eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan under the Medicare Better Access program or would like further sessions when they have used all sessions under their plan. Private session fees are subject to Acacia Psychology location. DVA Clients

Acacia Psychology provide counselling through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to the veteran members of our community with no upfront fees. Please call 1300 668 200 to organise an appointment and seek support.

Medicare Rebates

Clients are able to access counselling through a Mental Health Care Plan that they have received from their GP. This Mental Health Care Plan allows the individual to receive a rebate of the Medicare Schedule Fee ($86.15). Individuals with a mental health care plan can claim rebates for up to 20 individual sessions claimable per calendar year. The out of pocket fee for these sessions varies subject to Acacia Psychology location. Please call our friendly team on 1300 668 200 for more information.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend an appointment (either online or in person) please advise us no less than 24 hours in advance.

If a confirmed appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, 50% of the service fee is charged and must be paid prior to securing your next appointment.
